Designed by nurses for nurses, the RN Residency is the most innovative and
comprehensive new graduate on boarding experience available. The RN
Residency prepares new nurses by organizing and transitioning them into professional
nursing. The Residency is designed to be a highly-supportive and
appropriately paced learning experience.
As a RN Resident, you will be employed as a full-time, paid employee. You will
be supported--professionally and emotionally--by a network of senior nurses who
act as teachers, preceptors, mentors and debriefers. Upon successful completion
the Residency, you'll be prepared to successfully pursue your goal of serving
as a professional Registered Nurse.
In order for your
application to be considered, we ask that you provide two letters of
recommendation from clinical instructors or preceptors. The Recruiter will
forward your documents to the Education Manager for review. Should you
be selected to move to the next stage in the process, you may interview for two
areas of interest, so we ask that you limit your applications to your top

**Please note: The Residency program prefers a 12
month work commitment to Saint Francis Hospital after the completion of
the 16-20 week Residency.**
Education: Graduate from an accredited RN program.
Experience: None; May not have any RN experience to qualify for the
Licensure/Certification: American Heart Association issued BLS certification required prior to start date. Applicable state RN
licensure to be obtained prior to Residency.
